Monitoring Jobsites with Travel Bans and Working Remote

As Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread, it’s becoming clear that how we work and interact with others is going to change. Whether it’s a complete travel ban to entire nations or banning nonessential travel, large companies such as Amazon and Microsoft are taking measures to ensure people are healthy and safe. Major airlines are reducing flights both domestically and internationally, and conferences are either being canceled or becoming digital-only events. More and more companies are also asking employees to work remotely and promoting social distancing. The trend won’t be ending soon, either; officials warn that it could take months before lives return to normal.

Despite all of this, construction job sites have remained unaffected by the outbreak and the industry continues to grow as expected. According to the chapter’s safety director, no members of the Associated General Contractors of Washington have stopped working at the time of writing, even in Seattle (one of the outbreak epicenters in the US). Combined with travel bans and remote working, this creates a problem for managers of national construction programs who need to confirm project milestones in-person. Construction cameras can ease the process along through remote job site monitoring and provide real-time visual construction data.

As this crisis continues to affect the way we work, OxBlue is committed to ensuring our clients have everything they need. All job site information is accessible on your computer or our iOS and Android mobile apps. This keeps you connected to your projects whether they’re across the country or down the street.

      • Showcase Your Work – Compile a visual portfolio of all your projects, utilize easy-to-use presentation and sharing tools, and demonstrate progress to your displaced workforce.
      • Streamline Project Management – Manage multiple projects at one time, coordinate contractors and suppliers, and control budgets and change orders, all from your customized project dashboard.

In addition to our camera services, our dedicated client support specialists are ready to help any way they can. Working in tandem with industry-specific monitoring technology, they oversee your camera’s operating status so you never miss a moment on your job site. The entire team is available to ensure that monitoring your project remotely is an effortless experience.
